October Community of Practice
October 20, 2022at9:30 am - 11:00 am
Building A Solid Foundation for the School Year Through Restorative Agreements
Do students, staff and families understand the expectations of their classroom and school community? Do community members have questions about classroom and school policies, processes, and expectations? This October, we want to provide a restorative space for educators and school partners to discuss the role of restorative agreements to support a strong foundation for positive school climate and academic success.
- How is the school community receiving clear communication about expectations this year? Are you communicating clearly with others?
- How are students, staff and families included in the creation of your school’s restorative agreements in the classroom and community space?
- What agreements have been normalized in your school to build community and relationships?
- What are the urgent needs concerning your school climate and how can restorative agreements meet these needs?
During this Community of Practice, participants will have time to explore the value of restorative agreements and share promising practices for addressing the needs of our school communities.
