We’re in this Together: Listening and Sharing Session

Come as you are to be in community with other D.C. educators. We understand the ongoing challenges of an uncertain school year. RDC is shifting its community of practice to become listening and sharing sessions to discuss issues and strategies impacting our D.C. school communities. Listening and sharing sessions are facilitated group discussions to reflect, collect information, and share ideas and strategies about your experiences. We designed these sessions to provide space for connection, grieving, celebration, and supporting each other.

The focus of the March session will be Exploring Relationships, Routines (Rituals), and Resilience for Staff who may need assistance in these areas and may be struggling in this environment with one or all of these “R’s.” We will discuss how relationships, routines/rituals, and resilience have impacted staff during the pandemic, and understand the areas that staff are struggling with the most. We will also identify strategies that individuals are using to establish or maintain relationships, routines/rituals and resilience, and consider what additional support may be needed from peers.
