Fundamentals of Restorative Justice During Reentry & Recovery in School Communities
October 5, 2021at4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Target Audience: Administrators, Educators, School Staff
Join us to learn the basics of how restorative justice practices can help in the reentry and recovery process. Participants will explore how restorative practices can facilitate smoother transition periods in schools and classrooms, address student and staff concerns, and rebuild the school community. We will share examples of how to use restorative language throughout the re-entry and recovery process and provide space for participants to collaborate on strategies to engage and support the community through circles and other restorative practices.
All professional development sessions use a trauma-informed approach and teach skills and practices that you can implement immediately. We highly encourage participants to join our weekly coaching sessions for a deeper dive into the challenges of implementation and practice. All Fall 2021 sessions will be held virtually on Zoom.
