Introduction to Rapid Response Restorative Processes (Micro-Circles)

Do you often experience that restorative responses to conflict take a lot of preparation or time? Micro-Circles are a restorative process to address conflict between two or three people. They are excellent when you want to rapidly respond in the moment with minimal preparation. Join us for an introduction to this simple process that uses restorative questions and communication techniques. We will provide examples on how to adapt Micro-Circles for a range of situations, from addressing conflict among early-age students to resolving issues between staff and other adults. We will discuss when this process is best suited or when other restorative justice processes might be needed.

All professional development sessions use a trauma-informed approach and teach skills and practices that you can implement immediately. We highly encourage participants to join our weekly coaching sessions for a deeper dive into the challenges of implementation and practice. All Spring 2022 sessions will be held virtually on Zoom.
